The Physical Review family of journals have long hosted some of the best work in physical science.
In this talk I will give some background on the journals, focusing in particular on the flagship journal, Physical Review Letters (PRL). I will then discuss, from my perspective as an editor for PRL, the importance of the peer review process and how to find success as both an author and a referee.
Finally, I will leave you with some thoughts on the value of society publishers, and why supporting society journals supports the physics community.
